The Quran emphasizes following the orders given by Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)

Quran emphasizes following the orders given by Prophet Muhammad

Surah Al-A’raf (7:157):
“[Those who follow] the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So, they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the successful.”
Surah Al-Imran (3:144):
“Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So, if he was to die, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.”
Surah Al-A’raf (7:158):
“Say, [O Muhammad], ‘O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.’ So, believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him so that you may be guided.”
Surah Al-Fath (48:29):
“Muhammad ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) is the Last Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the Sowers – so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.”
Surah Al-A’raf (7:35):
“O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you narrating to you My verses, then whoever fears Allah and reforms – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.”
Surah Al-A’raf (7:36):
“But the ones who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them – those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.”
Surah Al-Jumu’ah (62:2):
“It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses to purify them and teach them the Book and wisdom – although they were before in clear error.”
Surah Al-Kahf (18:110):
“Say, ‘I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So, whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord – let him do righteous work and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord.'”
Surah Al-An’am (6:50):
“Say, ‘I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.’ Say, ‘Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not think?”
These verses from the Quran affirm the role of Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) as the messenger sent by Allah and the obligation of humanity to follow his guidance for salvation, and the above verses only emphasize following the orders given by Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم). So if one needs to understand the true meaning of the religion, the beliefs followed, and how to live as a true Muslim, one must follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).
